DESCRIPTION:Czech Theater’s theme for the 2025-2026 season is “Death”\, and we are opening it with a true Czech classic:&nbsp\;Karel Jaromír Erben’s "Kytice:&nbsp\;A Bouquet of Czech Folktales"."Kytice"&nbsp\;is a collection of 13 ballads inspired by oral tradition and Czech legends.&nbsp\;Apart from the supernatural and whimsy\, it&nbsp\;addresses interpersonal relationships\, guilt\, punishment\, and death\; women are often in the forefront.&nbsp\;Czech Theater will present 7 of the 13 original poems in Erben’s collection.Join us on the journey through love\, grief and terror\, and meet our characters: supernatural beings\, worried mothers\, and cheerful maidens – for the first time ever on stage in English.This production of&nbsp\;“Kytice” is based on the translation by Susan Reynolds published by Jantar Publishing.
